The Kick actor is all set to unravel the beauty of Kashmir in his upcoming Kabir Khan directorial
Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming magnum opus Haider is making a great buzz about the fact that it has been shot entirely in the Kashmir valley. Following suit is Kick actor, Salman Khan who is travel planning for his next Kabir Khan directorial, Bajrangi Bhaijaan also starring Kareena Kapoor Khan. But they aren’t the only ones to have been lured by the scenic beauty there. There have been other before them. Here’s taking a look at some of them who have taken to the beautiful backdrops of Kashmir…
Hrithik Roshan: HR has shot a lot in Kashmir. His film Mission Kashmir and Lakshya were shot almost entirely there. Songs like Dekho ke jheelo ka and Kandho se milte hai kandhe showed the beautiful snow-filled valley in its utmost beauty.
Shah Rukh Khan: SRK has shot films like Dil Se and Jab Tak Hai Jaan in Kashmir. Songs like Dil se re, Ae ajnabi and Jiya jiya re jiya re have been shot extensively in the valley of flowers. The very opening shot of the film shows Anushka Sharma dive sexily into the Pangong lake.
Aamir Khan: AK has shot films like Fanaa and 3 Idiots in Kashmir. The Aamir-Kareena Kapoor Khan kissing scene at the end of 3 Idiots was shot so beautifully nearby the Pangong lake. The movie not just popularised the location but also etched a memory in every Indian movie watcher’s mind.
Ranbir Kapoor: RK, who is comparatively newer, has also had his fair share of shooting amidst the snow capped mountains of Kashmir. His films Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani and Rockstar had parts of it, especially some songs, which were shot in Kashmir. Songs like Subhanallah and Katiya karoon have been shot extensively in Kashmir.
Alia Bhatt: AB is the youngest superstar in the film industry presently and she has also had her fair share in the beauties of Kashmir. Many scenes from her Highway were shot in Kashmir. Even the song Ishq wala love from her debut Student Of The Year was shot entirely in Kashmir.
There have been many others in the past too- from cult classics like Shammi Kapoor’s Jaanwar, Kashmir Ki Kali, and Junglee,to Priyanka Chopra’s Saath Khoon Maaf.
We sure hope like it’s predecessors, the Kashmir charm works for Salman’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan too.
