Washington: If you are Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 so we have some good news for you that company is testing Android 4.4.2 KitKat Firmware for the device.
The tablet was initially launched with Android 4.0.4 ICS out of the box and later updated to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and since then the tablet has not received a single Android OS upgrade.
After Android 4.1.2, Google released two major Android updates: Android 4.2 and Android 4.3, both were skipped by Samsung for the Galaxy Note 10.1.
Galaxy Note 10.1 owners started to believe that Samsung might never update their device again, as the Galaxy Note II, which was released together with the Galaxy Note 10.1, did receive the Android 4.3 update.
However, the day has finally arrived that Galaxy Note 10.1 owners can taste the KitKat goodness, thanks to XDA forum member izap for leaking an Android 4.4.2 test build for the Note tablet. The firmware was originally leaked in 11 parts, so we had to re-package the firmware. We are expecting Samsung to officially start rolling out the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update for the Galaxy Note 10.1 in May/June.
