ISLAMABAD: Hamid Mir has denied Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar’s claim that he didn’t get any threats since Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) formed the government, media reported.
Nisar said that recently-attacked journalist never got any threats when PML-N took the charge of the country.
But according to Mir, he received a frightening sms from Army Major in August 2013 during his live show.
The injured journalist even mentioned the name and number of the offender on his show.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif went to visit Mir in the hospital.
Currently, almost every politician and leader is demanding Geo TV to apologize the nation and Pakistan army for defaming it without any proof.
Unidentified men opened fire at Hamid Mir last week when he was coming to his office from Karachi airport. He received six bullets.
Mir accused ISI of conspiring against him. Media, politicians and even general public is furious at Geo TV and Hamid Mir for insulting country’s prestigious institution without any substantial proof.
