ISLAMABAD: The Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has arrived Saudi Arabia on Tuesday for his two-day visit, media reported.
The army chief will witness joint military exercises of Pakistan and Saudi forces, conducted under the name of “Abdullah’s Simitar”.
Sharif was invited by Saudi Arabia’s heir Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz and Deputy Prime Minister.
Different branches of the Army and divisions of internal and homeland security with 100,000 personnel will be involved.
Sharif called Prime Minister before leaving the country. COAS and PM discussed about ways to tackle terrorism in Pakistan.
