ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s federal government is likely to reduce the prices of major petroleum products from May 1 as Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has recommended Rs 4.51 per litre decrease in diesel prices.
OGRA sent a summary to the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources, recommending Rs 1.94 per liter reduction in prices of High Octane, Rs 3.08 in Kerosene oil, Rs 4.51 in Diesel, 91 paisas per liter in Light Diesel, while 34 paisas per liter in petrol prices, sources said.
Prices of the petroleum products will be finalized before April 30 and new prices will be effective from May 1.
