ISLAMABAD: Disappointed by his own political party, Abdul Hakim Baloch of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has resigned as State Minister for Railways on Monday, media reported.
Baloch issued a formal statement, in which he said, “My resignation as state minister is a protest against PML-N’s deliberately ‘downplaying’ its representatives from Sindh.”
And added, “No one informed me about Rafique’s plans. I was not even considered worth inviting to the programs organized for the federal minister. I can’t stand this apathy, on the part of my party leadership, any longer. I quit.”
Baloch was upset with Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique as he did not consult him about his Karachi visit and other plans.
As per reports, PML-N has yet to accept the resignation from Baloch as ‘State Minister for Railways’.
