HYDERABAD: A policeman was killed while 13 others injured as a result of fire exchange between two groups here on late Tuesday night, media reported.
The incident took place during a procession in the city, being organised to commemorate the birth anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA). Two groups had an argument which turned into an armed fight, resulting in the death of DSP Hyderabad and injuring 13 others including ASI Adam Ali Khushak.
All the injured people were transferred to hospital for medical aid.
According to hospital sources, out of 13, three are in critical condition.
The incident created panic in the whole city while authorities have deployed rangers to maintain the peace following this horrific fight.
