Aashiqui 2 fame singer Ankit Tiwari, who won accolades for his song Sun raha Hai Na Tu, has been accused of raping his girlfriend. The singer and his brother Ankur Tiwari have reportedly been arrested by the Versova police on rape charges. According to certain sections of the media, the victim is Ankit's girlfriend, an event management professional, who the singer has decided not to marry despite promising to marry her. The police have said that the incident happened late last night. The singer had come to meet the girl at her sister's home when she was alone and allegedly raped her.
