Karachi: Pakistan opener batsman Ahmed Shehzad has got the support by senior players for the Twenty20 captaincy of national team.
According to PCB sources that legendary all-rounder Shahid Afridi name was showing for captaincy after the resignation by Muhammad Hafeez.
“But Afridi’s statement created the conflict when he returned country after the Twenty20 World Cup 2014,” PCB sources said.
“Thus, Shehzad is a strong candidate for captaincy and he has got the favour by board,” Sources added.
