ISLAMABAD: Justice Nasir ul Mulk has taken oath as the acting Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) here on Friday (today).
Mulk is the senior most judge of Supreme Court of Pakistan.
Current Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Tassaduq Hussain Jillani is on a 10-day visit to Canada. And until his return, Mulk will serve as the CJP.
Mulk took oath from Justice Jawad S Khwaja in a ceremony especially organised for the occasion.
President of Supreme Court Bar Association Kamran Murtaza, Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Anwar Qasmi, former Registrar of Supreme Court Dr Faqeer Hussain and all the judges of Supreme Court attended the ceremony.
