LG G3 leaks with back protector ahead of May 27 debut - 01 MAy 2014

WASHINGTON: As LG is eyeing to unwrap its flagship smartphone LG G3, now device makes its first appearance online under back protector before its expected May 27 debut.

LG has already disclosed in its latest earnings report that it will unveil its next-generation flagship LG G3 in the second quarter of this year, and the company has just sent out event invitations for May 27 – 28. While the save-the-date invite didn’t specifically name the LG G3, the smartphone will most likely become official then.

The LG G3 has previously leaked in some photos, and now we have some more images of the purported device. The newly-leaked photos show the smartphone all wrapped up in a protective armor case, which masks the full design. Nonetheless, the new images offer a better look and the device seems quite stunning.

The upcoming LG G3 will launch as the company’s flagship smartphone for 2014 and is expected to boast top-notch specs and features, including a mind-blowing screen resolution. The LG G3 will reportedly rock a 5.5-inch display with a whopping Quad HD (QHD) resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and will also pack Qualcomm’s latest quad-core mobile processor.

More specifically, if rumors turn out to be accurate, the LG G3 will pack the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor under the hood, clocked at 2.5GHz and paired with a hefty 3GB of RAM. The smartphone is further expected to feature a 16-megapixel rear camera, a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter, and run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.

The latest images show off the LG G3′s purported rear design, as well as the front of the device. As seen in the photos above, the LG G3 features a centered power/volume key setup located just below the camera, but now it also sports a dual-LED flash. The device also seems to pack what looks like an IR blaster near the camera.

The front of the device, meanwhile, seems to have very thin bezels around the display, which falls in line with previous rumors and leaked screenshots.

While none of the aforementioned specifications are confirmed at this point, the upcoming LG G3 is nonetheless bound to launch as a real powerhouse. With LG’s event just one month away, we’ll soon know all there is to know about the LG G3 straight from the source.
