ISLAMABAD: The National Transmission and Dispatch Company (NTDC) has announced that load-shedding has ended in Pakistan as the temperature decreases throughout the country due to rains here on Tuesday, media reported.
A NTDC official said, “There was no load-shedding anywhere in the country on Tuesday as the maximum demand was met.”
After Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has ordered to reduce load-shedding hours, the energy companies have started getting 30,000 tons of furnace oil each day and they are making new records now.
On Tuesday, total electricity demand in Pakistan was 11,100 megawatts and power supply was enough to provide that, said the official.
The electricity demand was between 17,000 megawatts to 12000 megawatts in Pakistan before the temperature decreased in Pakistan.
But according to local people of Pakistan, they have been facing regular hours of load-shedding and nothing has changed for them.
And they said that claims from NTDC or PM are bogus as they are still facing load-shedding problem in their areas.
