ISLAMABAD: The Prime Minister’s Youth Skills Development programme has begun in Pakistan today, media reported.
Under this programme, National Vocational and Technical Training Commission will train 25000 girls and boys.
Vocational training has begun in all four provinces, including Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and FATA, simultaneously.
In addition to free admission and training, students will also get Rs2000 stipend per month.
As per earlier reports, 77000 applicants have applied for PM’s Youth Skills Development programme since it was announced in April 2014.
Shaza Fatima Khwaja, coordinator Prime Minister’s Youth Skills Development programme, said “We are thinking of raising the number of seats next year to accommodate more candidates.”
