Red warrant requests for Lyari gang-war criminals sent back to Sindh govt - 19 May 2014

KARACHI: Pakistan’s federal government has sent back red warrant summaries of various most-wanted Lyari gang-war criminals, including Uzair Baloch and Baba Ladla, to Sindh government over having objections due to incomplete records.

Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior returned the Sindh government’s requests for issuance of red-warrants of at least 83 most-wanted criminals including Uzair Baloch, Noor Muhammad alias Baba Ladla and Taj Muhammad alias Taju, local newspaper Express News reported.

The report quoted governmental sources that the move was taken after submission of incomplete records and necessary documents of 3 criminals for issuance of legal orders by the higher authorities in order to make the criminals’ arrestment via Interpol.

Ministry of Interior enclosed a note complaining non-seriousness of the provincial government in Sindh for making firm steps in issuance of red-warrants against the Lyari gang-war criminals.

It should be mentioned that one amongst the gang-war criminals, Baba Ladla, was reportedly shot down near Pakistan-Iran border areas following armed action made by Iranian security forces.

However, Sindh government contacted the concerned departments pertaining records and documentations of the criminals; as well as took decision to appeal against after completion of necessary demands made by the federal authorities.
