MIRPUR: India has defeated the host team Bangladesh by seven wickets in the first One-Day International (ODI) at Shere-e-Bangla National Stadium.
In the first ODI, Bangladesh scored 272 runs target after losing nine wickets in complete 50 overs.
Bangladesh two players made half-centuries in which skipper Mushfiqur Rahim scored his 59 runs and all-rounder Shakib-Al-Hasan put his 52 runs for giving the highest target.
Indian fast bowler Umesh Yadav took three wickets giving 48 runs in his nine overs.
Although, Weather changed the game but India had to chase 150 runs target in just 26 overs. However, India chased the target losing three wickets in the 24.5 overs.
Blue Shirts opener batsmen played match winning innings which Ajinkya Rahane made 64 runs while Robin Uthappa put his 50 runs.
