The first season of Pakistani reality television series Master Chef Pakistan began on 3 May 2014. and aired on Urdu 1. Show airs two episodes weekly one on Saturday and other on Sunday at 21:00 PST prime-time slot. First season is presented by Knorr and co-sponsorship rights are owned by Ariel while Shan Food Industries and 7 Up serve as a food providers. This show is judged by Chef Zakir, Chef Mahboob and Chef Khurrum. The first season of Master Chef Pakistan won by Ammara Nouman who defeated Gulnaz and Madiha in series Finale on July 27, 2014. Ammara received series title, Rs. 5 million and a contract of her own recipe book, while Gulnaz stood as a Runner-up and received Rs. 1 million with series trophy and Madiha came up as 2nd runner-up and received Rs. 5 lack and series trophy
The decision is quite fine but many people have some objections on Gulnaz as its clearly visible that judges are some how lenient with her.
The second objection is on the behavior of judges specially Chef Zaakir with Rayaan. There WAS something fishy between these two. As expression of Chef Zaakir always reflects his feelings or his personal grudge for Rayaan. The elimination of Rayaan in semi final is also a questionable issue.
But Ammara really deserves to be a winner. No doubt she is very good cook and disciplined lady. She works devotedly on her counter.
We really enjoy this season and will wait for Master Chef Pakistan season 2.
