Anushka and Ranveer’s character in Dil Dhadakne Do might remind you of Hrithik and Katrina from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh, who were once said to be dating each other are re-uniting on the silver screen with Zoya Akhtar’s upcoming film, Dil Dhadakne Do, which also stars Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar and Shefali Shah.
And as we have already informed you, Anushka plays the character of Farah, who after facing family opposition runs away from home, determined to become a dancer. And in her journey to become a dancer, she meets Ranveer’s character, named Kabir, who has lived a sheltered life, with his father wanting him to take over the family business. But inspired by Farah’s free spirit, he comes out of his closet to pursue his own dreams.
And we don’t know if you have noticed this, but Ranveer and Anushka‘s characters bear a stark resemblance to the characters that Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif played in Zoya’s previous film, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
In that travelogue, Katrina plays the character of Laila, who is an underwater diving instructor. She inspires Arjun (Hrithik), a workaholic and an aquaphobic, to overcome his fears and eventually they fall in love.
We, and surely many of you, loved the chemistry between the Bang Bang co-stars in ZNMD. And since Ranveer and Anushka’s characters are pretty much the same as theirs, will the Band Baaja Baarat co-stars also have a similar crackling chemistry? Well, all we can do is just wait and watch.
