We hear the Vicky Donor actor’s upcoming film has been stalled due to monetary issues
Vibhu Puri’s directorial venture Hawaizaade starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Mithun Chakraborty and Pallavi Sharda has hit a roadblock. Apparently, some of the assistant directors complained to the union as they weren’t paid for few months even after making repeated requests. Later, Puri’s office remained closed for few days because few union members raided the place. After this episode, payments were cleared but then few technicians working on the film also raised the same issue of non-payment. We hear the whole monetary issue has been resolved now however 12 to 15 days’ shoot is still pending. And this is the scenario since last three months.
While talking to a daily, a source said, “Work on Hawaizaada has stopped because Reliance is not willing to spend a single penny on the film now; they have pointed out that the film has already gone over budget.”
“The ADs had complained to the union, but we aren’t sure about the office being ransacked. Payments were made later but it is not clear when the remaining shoot will happen,” said a source close to the development.
Well, we hope Ayushmann’s film gets wrapped up soon because it does look promising.
