The leggy lass spilled the beans on her character in Happy New Year
If you have seen the Happy New Year trailer, you’ll know that Deepika Padukone is on her way of becoming the sexiest Marathi babe in Bollywood! She will be playing the role of Mohini in the film and by the looks of the trailer her role will be that of a show girl quite like how Madhuri Dixit’s was in the Anil Kapoor starrer Tezaab.
While interacting with the media at Happy New Year‘s trailer launch, Deepika revealed that her character is indeed loosely inspired by Madhuri’s character from Tezaab! It means that she will be playing the role of a Marathi girl-next-door who dances for a living but has big dreams for herself.
Will Deepika also be shaking a leg on Maddy’s iconic Ek Do Teen number from Tezaab? We don’t know yet. But we sure hope that Dippy does a performance on the popular Madhuri number by adding her sexy twist to the same!
