Yeh jo desh hai tera, swades hai tera
Javed Akhtar’s meaningful lyrics and AR Rahman’s amazing singing makes this soulful track from Swades a classic. The song oozes patriotism, despite its petal soft vocals
Vande mataram
This list would be incomplete if we didn’t mention AR Rahman’s soul stirring rendition of Vande mataram. The musical genius reinvented the national song and how! He truly succeeded in capturing the true essence of India in it. Even today Rahman’s engaging version finds place in most people’s playlist.
