The filmmaker doesn’t want anyone to approach him for acting roles till Bombay Velvet releases
Not a long time ago, the media circuit was abuzz with reports about Karan Johar playing a Sindhi father in Vikas Bahl’s upcoming film, Shandaar, which stars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in lead roles. However, it looks like KJo, who is making his full fledged acting debut in Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet has turned down Vikas’ offer.
“No, I am not doing the film. I was briefly in talks at a very initial stage. I am sure when the cast of Vikas’s film is announced, it will be a terrific one, but I am not a part of it. I think only once Bombay Velvet releases should people decide on offering me more films. I don’t think anybody should take a chance till then,” said the filmmaker while talking to a daily.
Interestingly, the same role was also offered to Sajid Khan, but he too refused to take it up since he is busy working on his next film.
Looks like Vikas will have to continue tearing his hair out in frustration until he finally gets someone to play a Sindhi business man in his film. Who will it be? Guess, all we can do is just wait and watch.
