Yes, Sajid Nadiadwala’s directorial debut has surpassed the domestic lifetime collection of SRK’s blockbuster Chennai Express
Salman Khan’s latest film Kick co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Randeep Hooda has broken yet another box office record at the domestic turf. The action film which released on July 25, has finally surpassed the lifetime box office collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express which stands at Rs 226.70 crore nett. Khan’s action flick is in its third week and it has already raked in Rs 226.98 crore nett. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#Kick [Wk 3] Fri 1.97 cr, Sat 2.94 cr, Sun 3.92 cr, Mon 1.69 cr, Tue 1.35 cr. Grand total – 226.98 cr nett. ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTER.” We are pretty sure Salman must be very pleased with these figures and of course happy that his film has overtaken King Khan’s CE at the box office.
What’s interesting is that Kick is also SK’s highest grossing film internationally. Guess its time for Salman and the whole team of Kick to party hard, hai na?
Well, Kick has already beaten Chennai Express at the box office but will it surpass Aamir Khan’s Dhoom:3 collection? Let’s wait and watch!
