The Mary Kom actor opens about her upcoming biopic on the Olympic medalist
Priyanka Chopra is all pumped up for the release of her upcoming biopic on Olympic medalist MC Mary Kom. The Dil Dhadakne Do actor, however, opened up about her reservations about Mary Kom being termed as women-centric film. She retorted by saying, “Do you call Salman Khan or Aamir Khan’s films as male centric? Then why do you term my film as women-centric.” Point taken PC.
The petite heroine goes on to comment, “The films are all protagonist centric. While for some the protagonist is male, for some it’s the woman. We have to change the perception of our thinking. Unless we start giving both the genres equal importance, there won’t be a change that comes in the society.”
