Who will be the next Bollywood star to rub shoulders with the likes of Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan at Madame Tussauds in London? After immortalising six superstars in wax, the world-famous museum is on the lookout for a new face. And, for the first time, the officials are calling for votes to decide who should be added to the line-up in 2015. What’s more, they have short-listed three of the most beautiful heroines — Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra — making your job easier (or tougher) depending on how you look at it!
While the race is on, we deconstruct the lovely ladies and their odds of making it to the coveted museum…
Katrina Kaif
Stunningly attractive, Katrina has been named the World’s Sexiest Woman by FHM, not once but five times! UK’s Eastern Eye had her billed as the Sexiest Asian Woman for three years consecutively. Besides, Kat has the distinction of working with all the top heroes including the Khan trio (Salman, SRK and Aamir). Now, she is adding another Khan, Saif Ali, to her film kitty with Phantom. The actress will also be seen romancing the younger actor, Aditya Roy Kapur, in a film based on Great Expectations. The sizzling chemistry she shared with Hrithik Roshan in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is set to be recreated in Bang Bang while Jagga Jasoos will see her teaming up with beau Ranbir Kapoor again after Raajneeti. Katrina, who zoomed past competition with Dhoom 3 that raked in `400 crore, is the only Bolly actress to have a Barbie doll modelled after her! Will a wax statue in her homeland be far behind?
Priyanka Chopra
A former beauty queen, a successful actress and an international singer, Priyanka is a dynamic package. She has also been in the industry longer than her rivals. The actress has already clinched the National Award for her performance in Fashion and won rave reviews for Barfi! Priyanka was crowned Asia’s Sexiest Woman in 2012 by Eastern Eye and is the only desi actress to turn singer on foreign soil. She released her first single In My City in collaboration with international artistes including American rap singer will.i.am. PC showed her philanthropic side when she was appointed as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Child Rights in 2010. She is currently filming Dil Dhadakne Do in which Ranveer Singh plays her brother. Incidentally, he had played her romantic interest in Gunday! PC’s boxer avatar in the poster from her upcoming film Mary Kom got some glowing comments from the film fraternity itself. No doubt, the actress has been reinventing herself to stay on-top-of-the-game, and a waxed statue should be another feather in her glorious cap!
Deepika Padukone
She is in an enviable position today. The reigning queen of Bollywood, Deepika has given four back-to-back super hits. Chennai Express with Shah Rukh Khan put her in `200-crore film bracket. Tall, willowy and beautiful, Dippy can look simple or sexy in a jiffy. She makes a good pair with heroes who are older to her like SRK (she will be seen with him again in Happy New Year) and Akshay Kumar as well as the GenNext guys like Arjun Kapoor (Finding Fanny). Of course, she has the best chemistry with her ex Ranbir Kapoor and after Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani teams up with him for Tamaasha. The leggy lass will also be seen with the much older and seasoned actor Irrfan Khan in Piku. To top it all, she will play Mastani to Ranveer Singh in Bajirao Mastani. Though Ranveer with whom she sizzled in Ram Leela is rumoured to be her boyfriend, the dimpled beauty refuses to lend credence to it. And yes, young girls look up to her as the style icon! She along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan were the only Bolly actresses to make it to the list of the World’s 30 Most Beautiful People in a poll conducted by Hollywood Buzz. While Aishwarya has already made it to Madame Tussuads, it’s a matter of time before Deepika follows.

Benedict Cumberbatch
TV’s most popular Sherlock Holmes, Benedict will be the latest actor to have his wax figure at the museum. He was recently measured for the same. Benedict, who has a great sense of humour, joked, “Finally, I can photo-bomb myself.” For those who came in late, Benedict famously photo-bombed pictures of other stars at the Oscar red carpet.
Jennifer Lopez
The sexy singer-actress has already been waxed in the museum a decade ago, but thanks to her special FIFA World Cup song Ola Ola, JLO got another figurine dressed in a replica of the outfit she wears in the official song — Italian parrot print hot pants teamed with a abstract graphic colour print sweatshirt. Her statue is placed in the music area alongside global stars such as Adele, Beyoncé, Lady Gaga and Rihanna.
Ryan Gosling
The Notebook star or rather his wax figure has made a guest appearance at the London museum this July. A summer attraction, his statue will hold residence till December after which it will be sent to Orlando. Installed a week ago, Ryan dressed in a navy blue suit and black bow tie complete with shiny black dress shoes has been getting an overwhelming reception especially from his female fans!
Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt
The power couple had its statues updated last December to commemorate Brad Pitt’s 50th birthday. Brangelina were already a popular attraction in the museum and the new statues have added to the appeal. With Angelina dressed in her famous blue gown with a thigh high split that she wore to the Golden Globes in January 2012 and Brad in a black suit the couple looks ‘premiere ready’ as the wax museum describes them.
