The two stars were supposed to be paired opposite each in Vikas Bahl’s next Shaandaar, but now they won’t meet each other. Read on to find out why…
Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were finalised for playing the lead couple in Vikas Bahl’s next Shaandaar. But grapevine has it that the two have decided not to come face to face with each other. So what happened that such a decision was taken? We wonder…
Our khabroos inform us that the decision was taken mutually by the two so that they don’t have any preconceived notions about each other before the shoot. The two have decided to not learn much about each other’s personality and start afresh when they shoot. Our birdies also inform that the duo want to face the camera for the first time without any rehearsal shoots. Also the two went on for the film’s recce separately.
They say that they want the chemistry to be raw so that it becomes the USP of the Queen director‘s next film. “Be it Sidharth (Malhotra), Varun (Dhawan) or Arjun (Kapoor), I’ve shared a great rapport with all my co-stars. It’s easier to work with friends. Working with an actor who isn’t my buddy, will have its own USP. I’ve met Shahid on a few occasions but we haven’t had the time to bond. The fact that we don’t know each other or share an equation, will be a challenge. If at all there is any awkwardness, it’ll only add to our on-screen chemistry,” reveals Alia while speaking to a leading daily.
Normally, actors go photo shoots together for look tests so that the makers get a fair idea as to how their pairing will look onscreen, but not this time. Wethinks this is a unique and novel approach towards a film. So lets hope that the outcome is fantastic. Hai na peeps?
