The sequel of Singham is going steady at the box office
Rohit Shetty’s latest directorial venture Singham Returns starring Ajay Devgn and Kareena Kapoor Khan has managed to pull in crowd to the theaters. The film which hit the theaters on Independence day has already collected Rs 112.59 crore at the Indian box office. Film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#SinghamReturns Fri 32.09 cr, Sat 21.05 cr, Sun 24.55 cr, Mon 14.78 cr, Tue 8.21 cr, Wed 6.44 cr, Thu 5.47 cr. Total -112.59 cr nett.”
According to Boxofficeindia, “Singham Returns had an excellent first week of around 110 crore nett but collections did start dropping on the weekdays outside Mumbai circuit and CP Berar to an extent. The business in Mumbai circuit in week one is almost the same as Kick though all India is 40 crore plus lower than Kick.”
So far Ajay-Kareena starrer has got cash registers ringing but will their film’s dream run continue at the ticket windows? Will Singhm Returns cross the Rs 150 crore mark at the BO? Only time will tell!
