Anil’s 24 will be back on the small screen, we hear
Anil Kapoor certainly changed the face of Indian television when he made his debut on the small screen with his thriller TV show 24, which was the Indian adaptation of an American show by the same name. And the actor is all set to return to do some dhamaakedaar action, we hear. However, let us tell you he is not coming up with season two of 24 yet. So? The first season that was aired over weekends earlier on Colors, will be relaunched tonight on Rishtey. It will be a daily airing from Monday to Saturday at 9 pm.
24 India revolves around Anti Terrorist Unit Chief Jaisingh Rathod (Anil Kapoor), who races against time to save the country’s prime ministerial candidate Aditya Singhania from an assassination bid. The thriller also features Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi, Tisca Chopra, Anita Raaj, Mandira Bedi and Neil Bhoopalam, among others.
“Ever since the first season of 24 ended in December 2013, audiences have been reaching out to us, requesting for a re-run.We are now happy to announce that the show will be aired again,“ Raj Nayak, CEO of Colors was quoted by a daily.
Anil says, “Since it’s my first stint on television, 24 is special to me.Very rarely have I experienced such creative satisfaction, both as an actor and a producer. We were fortunate that some of the best talents in show business came together on this show. Everyone, right from the actors to the technicians, put in their 200 percent. Those who missed out on some episodes earlier or want to relive the entire journey , will now get to enjoy the thrill again.“
And what about the much-awaited second season of the show? “We are already working on it,“ confirms Anil.
