3 reasons why Shweta Basu Prasad shouldn’t be on Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 8

Many would want to see the National Award winning actress on nation’s most controversial reality show. But we don’t. And here’s why…

Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 8 is all set to hit the television screens from September 21. And rumour mills have been churning out names of several celebrities who are likely to get locked inside the glass walled house.

And now with Shweta Basu Prasad’s alleged involvement in a prostitution ring, many are expecting to see her in the house of horrors this year. But honestly, we DON’T want to. Here’s why…

Going by the tradition, Shweta will definitely grab eyeballs, and that’s a win-win situation for the channel in their fight for TRPs. Obviously, the channel will piggy bank on her murky past and evoke sympathies from the viewers. They will try to create drama and drive up ratings and sell Prasad’s story. And we certainly don’t want that.

With all due respect to the makers of the show and all the past and future contestants, we want Shweta Prasad to do some productive work, like a feature film rather than sitting inside a house amongst a group of bitchy and hungry-to-win contestants.

Lastly, Shweta Basu Prasad might already be psychologically exhausted. Plus she would have this pressure of looking good, sounding right. We want this whole sex racket episode to end and end now for good. Because, once she’s on Bigg Boss, there’s no ending to this saga. Simple.
