After Happy New Year, this is the second film involving SRK which is observing the ‘no phones on set’ policy
Shah Rukh Khan‘s upcoming film Fan which is being made under the Yash Raj Films’ banner strictly doesn’t allow phones or IPads on the sets or inside the studio where the film is being shot.
According to YRF’s head-honcho Aditya Chopra, he doesn’t want the plot or the happenings to leak from the film sets and reach the audiences just yet. Not only are the staff supposed to put away their phones, even SRK is made to part with his phone even though the actor is inseparable from it!
The film is currently being shot at a suburban studio and the no phones policy is observed throughout the day as the shooting continues. It’s only in the evening when the shoot wraps up that the people on the set, including actors are allowed to take their phones back. Interestingly SRK’s phone also has a ‘Do Not Touch’ label on it!
Madhur Bhandarkar who is currently making Calendar Girls also banned phones on the sets. Paranoia or strict discipline, what do you think of the no phones policy that is being observed by filmmakers nowadays?
