The Daawat-e-Ishq actors plan on lending a hand to clean the river Yamuna
Aditya Roy Kapur and Parineeti Chopra recently visited Agra for their promotional Food Yatra. While the two actors gorged on some sumptuous food and enjoyed road trips around the city, there was something about Agra that appalled them too!
Adi and Pari were upset to see the state river Yamuna was in. The actor were so disappointed with the river’s condition that they immediately decided to contribute to getting it cleaned with the help of government initiatives.
After inquiring about the government campaigns to clean the river the actors asked if an NGO could step forward and assist with the cleaning initiative. Aditya commented on the same, “While driving through Agra, Parineeti and I saw the Yamuna. It was very disheartening to see the current state of the river. While there is so much talk about cleaning the Ganga, I feel the Yamuna also needs more focus.”
For now the Daawat-e-Ishq actors will contribute in every way they can and will even get in touch with the authorities that can help them with the cleaning of the river.
We just hope that Aditya and Pari follow through on the promise and do their bit for the river!
