Seems like the recent brouhaha over the infamous Deepika Padukone cleavage video was not enough for the Times group
As if one embarrassing faux pas where Deepika Padukone’s cleavage did more straight-talking than the lady could ever dream of was not enough, the ‘leading’ newspaper has done it again. They have killed off actress Sonali Bendre’s brother and uncle in a fatal car crash. The report came under a ghoulish and macabre must-read list entitled Celebs Who Died In Crash. The report gave a detailed account of the place and the intensity of the accident that ostensibly caused the twin tragedy in Sonali’s life along with teary-eyed pictures of the actress.
Turns out the ‘news’ was fake. Says Sonali, “That was fake news. Those were not my relatives.” But the damage was done. Sonali and her husband Goldie Behl’s anxious and distressed friends and relatives flooded them with condolences.
A star who is a close buddy of the couple commented, “How can they be so callous and careless about such a sensitive issue as a death in the family? How could they publish something so distressing without checking with Sonali or Goldie?” Our guess is as good as theirs.
