PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan starts speaking and thanks PM Nawaz for apologising on behalf of his party leader. In a strong tone, Aitzaz condemns the accusations levelled against him by Nisar. The PPP leader narrates his struggle for democracy of Pakistan. “I helped restore former chief justice by spearheading the Lawyers’ Movement,” he boasts. He tells PM Nawaz that though he had apologised last night as well as today, the interior ministry has been saying Nisar sticks with his words. Aitzaz tells PM Nawaz to not defend those who have already left him in his difficult times. “Your ministers’ body language showed that they have no clue how to respond to Imran and Qadri,” he says. Aitzaz says your PML-N leaders were unknowing until the joint opposition announced its support to you. “The PML-N leaders are still staring at me; they should know I’m not scared of them,” Aitzaz lashes out as PPP leaders start beating their desks. Aitzaz insists he will respond to accusations levelled against him by Nisar. The PPP leader asks the speaker to put the house in order so he can speak. Aitzaz says PPP had advised since the first day of the session that PML-N leaders need to be polite and calm and be able to absorb the criticism. He says that if he decides to walk out of the house, he is sure the house will be completely empty. “You will be only left with Mehmood Achakzai,” he jokes. Coming to the main point, Aitzaz says he disagrees on forced resignation and that’s why he and PPP stand with him. He says PPP is supporting PML-N government despite PPP workers’ insistence to not do so. The PPP leader called on PM Nawaz to reshuffle the cabinet once he is out of the current crisis. “You have such great talent sitting in the back of the parliament,” he adds.
