Profile Born and raised in Gujranwala, Ali belongs to a non media family background. He initiated his career in 2000 with radio and never looked back. Hosted various shows on Pakistani channel in the United Kingdom and later joined Pakistan Television News as a current affairs anchor. Private media was always a challenge as it was all about working in the toughest of conditions with limited resources. Though there have been plenty of testing times in the field he stood up along with his team to achieve the desired results with many special coverage of flood, bomb blasts and violent protests. Currently Ali Mumtaz can be seen hosting Hum Log a show that focuses on issues related to a common man aired every Friday and Saturday at 20:03. Through "Hum Log" he believes he has an opportunity to feel the heart beat of a common Pakistani that is often talked about but seldom he is made to feel that he is important.
