Both the films have hit the screens today however neither Finding Fanny nor Creature 3D witnessed a great opening
Homi Adajania’s quirky comedy Finding Fanny starring Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Naseerudin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia has finally released. And though the B-town celebs have been praising the film on Twitter, Finding Fanny has failed to get off to a flying start at the box office. The case is same with Vikram Bhatt’s latest offering Creature 3D which stars Bipasha Basu and Pakistani actor Imran Abbas Naqvi in the lead. According to Boxofficeindia, “Creature 3D and Finding Fanny both opened to poor response at the box office with Creature 3D being decent at select single screens. The English version of Finding Fanny was better than the Hindi version which opened to very low occupancies.”
“Finding Fanny has a lot of screenings at multiplexes with some sites going to 15 shows combined for the English and Hindi versions which is a big number for this type of film. The film should do better in the evening at premium multiplexes of metros there is a limit to how far these 50 odd multiplexes can eventually take a film. Creature 3D is better than Finding Fanny at multiplexes of second tier cities like a Ghaziabad and Kanpur but is well behind in multiplexes overall which means it will find it tough to match the growth of Finding Fanny on Saturday. ” further reported Boxofficeindia.
While these two films have started off on a slow note wethinks they will do better business over the weekend. So let’s wait and watch!
