Profile Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat (Urdu: مخدوم سيد فیصل صالح حیات) is a Pakistani politician from Jhang, Punjab, Pakistan .Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat was born in Lahore in 1952. He was elected for his fourth term as MNA on a PPPP ticket. He later joined PPPP-Patriots. He is currently serving as Federal Minister for Environment.An agriculturist by profession, he holds a masters degree in law and a diploma in business administration from Kings College, London.During his political career, he has served as a member of Central Executive Committee of PPP in 1979, Federal Minister for Commerce and Development from 1988-1990. He has previously been elected as MNA for the terms of 1988-1990, 1990-1993 and 1993-1996. He currently holds the portfolio of the Federal Minister for Kashmir affairs and Northern Areas, and was previously the Federal Minister for Interior with the additional charge of Narcotics Control.Married, he has a son and a daughter. He has traveled widely to Asia, Africa, Europe and North America. Education Faisal Saleh Hayat is also a successful businessman. Faisal is a graduate of well known Institute of South Asia; FC College University, Lahore. Political Career Faisal Saleh Hayat has been repeatedly elected as Member of National Assembly of Pakistan (MNA) from NA-88. He started his political career by joining Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), He later on joined Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians PPPP-Patriots and then Pakistan Muslim League (Q). He is currently serving as Federal Minister of Housing and works since June, 2011. Faisal Saleh Hayat is also President of Pakistan Football Federation. He gave his nomination on the only seat for South-Central Zone's AFC Vice President election for the 24th AFC Congress for tenure of 2011-15, but withdrew later. He then later was elected as a AFC Executive Committee Member in 24th AFC Congress on January 6, 2011 in Doha, Qatar. Personal Faisal Saleh Hayat is an agriculturist by profession and the largest agriculture land ownership in Faisalabad-Jhang area is by the Syed family of Makhdoom Faisal Saleh Hayat and her cousin Syeda Abida Hussain. This family is Gadi Nasheen of a Shia Muslim Pir named Shah Jiwana but now the cousins are on the opposite side of a political divide. Its nearest town is Mandi Shah Jiwana on the Jhang Sargodha road and Punjgrain village Faisal Saleh Hayat is a leader of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) in the National Assembly.
