Fawad Khan will not work on TV after Bollywood film !

The talented actor has way too much on his acting plate at the moment, we think. From Humsafar to Khoobsurat, Fawad Khan is juggling with too many roles and pretty soon he choose the big screen over small.

Fawad Khan – who is often called the Tom Cruise of the television world – has wooed audiences of the small and the big screen with his acting prowess. Be it his TV soap Zindagi Gulzar Hai or films like Khuda Ke Liye, Fawad has effortlessly pulled off each of his roles, leaving behind memories of a noteworthy character each time. But as he entered in Bollywood and new film offers coming his way every other day – or so it seems –Fawad decided to quit Tv.
In his recent interview in India he stated I will do cinema only at this point of time. Read what he said:

Q:After Khoobsurat, would you go back to doing television shows in Pakistan?
Fawad Khan: “Depends. I don’t think so, for a while at least I’ll try to stick to cinema for as long as the audience can bear me but I do feel that if you take what you learn from films back to television you can make an enormous difference in the content in the screenplay and how it’s being made and shown to people. I think I want to be a part of that change in television because it has hit a bit of a watershed and it needs to expand its horizon beyond what it is currently, it needs to dabble in other genres.”
Q: So do you see that change happening in Pakistani television anytime soon?
Fawad Khan: “Yes, it is going to happen very soon because there is now going to be a constant tug of war between cinema and television because when you are in a population of that size (unlike India where the population is so big that the outreach and market for both TV and movies is huge), the competition is tougher. That’s where you can see massive improvement in a very short period of time.”
We thinks Fawad needs to take a call on what’s more important – doing justice to a role or doing roles just for the sake of working to make up for the couple of years he had nothing to do! We don’t want ZindagiGulzarr Hai to turn into Zindagi Bekaar Hai, Mr Fawad!
