The makers of the film have decided on roping in the Finding Fanny director
Homi Adajania will be teaming up with Fox Star Studios to remake the Hindi version of the popular Hollywood film, The Fault in Our Stars. Fox Star will be joining forces with Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films (they presented Homi’s latest release Finding Fanny)
This would be the second remake production taken up by Fox Star Studios after Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif starrer Bang Bang (which is a remake of the Hollywood film Knight and Day) The TFIOS remake would also mark Adajania’s comeback to making commercial cinema after Cocktail.
TFIOS is a story about two youngsters who are terminally ill and fall deeply in love, taking them on an extraordinary journey. About his decision to direct the remake, Homi was quoted saying, “It’s a story that I really feel needs to be told here. For me it’s poignant at a time when we are consumed by technology and are manically running this make-believe race we think is Life. We are such profound idiots to actually believe we have unlimited time here!”
Now that we know the FF director is making the film we can rest assured that it would be unconventional yet beautiful!
