Hrithik Roshan has spoken up time and again for social causes. This time he has done it again. In an open letter he has urged people to donate for a noble cause and the cause being the rescue and upliftment of the people stuck in the floods in the state of Jammu And Kashmir. About Me
Hi, I am Hritik Roshan. I’ve been watching the news coverage of the floods in Kashmir and it’s saddening, the number of people whose homes and lives have just been wiped out. Having been to J&K multiple times and having shot numerous films there I know the challenges the people will be facing given this devastation. I want to do something to help them. And I know there are people just like me, who want to help too.
The Cause
So please join me. Let’s raise funds for the people of Kashmir together. Let’s stand by our countrymen and do whatever we can to help them deal with their losses. We can help them gradually rebuild their homes and their lives. We CAN make a difference together.
The Funds
The funds we raise will go towards providing those affected by the floods with medicine, food and shelter until they are able to pick their lives back up and move on from this catastrophe. The funds raised will go to CARE INDIA who will be utlilizing the same to dispurse survival kits to the affected families and individuals in J&K. The kits would include basic amenitites for survival such as Tarpaulin, Mats, Hygiene Kit(Soap, toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary Napkins & Disinfectants Soaps)and blankets.
The Appeal
Each Survival Kit costs INR 5000 and I am looking to fundraise for 200 such kits.I have already gone ahead and funded for the first 20kits. Please support this campaign. Let’s come together for our fellow-countrymen.
