Profile Malik Muhammad Habib Khan is the current caretaker Interior and Narcotics Control Minister of Pakistan and a retired IGP (Inspector-General of Police). He served prestigious institutions of Pakistan which include Pakistan Army, ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence), PSP (Police Services of Pakistan), FIA (Federal Investigation Agency) and IB (Intelligence Bureau). Life and Early Education He was born in '''Kahuta''', District Rawalpindi on 20th July 1946, in the Awan tribe of Kahuta. He belongs to very honourable family with a military background and considered as a Pride of his family.[citation needed] Malik Habib was also a bright student; he completed his Matriculation from Government High School Kahuta with distinction and his name is displayed on honour board of the school. After completing B.Sc. Post Retirement The Islamabad High Court chief Justice Iqbal Hameedur Rehman on November 21, 2012, announcing his verdict on a constitutional petition, has held that Major (retd) Malik Muhammad Habib Khan was eligible for promotion in grade 22 on April 1, 2004. On 2 April 2013, he was appointed Caretaker Interior and Narcotics Minister of Pakistan.
