While the handsome Roadies host is leaving no stone unturned to promote his upcoming horror flick 3 A.M, he says he can’t watch his own film alone at 3 AM…
He is tall, hot and of course talented. Yes, we are talking about Rannvijay Singh Singha who is a popular face today courtesy adventure reality show MTV Roadies. While he has been part of Roadies for the longest time, Singh even hosted a spooky show on MTV called Girls’ Night Out. And now his next release is of the same genre. Directed by Vishal Mahadkar, 3 A.M. stars Rannvijay in the lead alongside Anindita Nayar, Salil Acharya and Kavin Dave. Well, we caught up the TV presenter-turned-actor and asked him everything on the lines of his latest film…
Your 3 AM friend
Yuvraj Singh, Raghu and Rajiv
Since you’re a nocturnal person, if somebody came at your place at 3 AM, what would they find you doing?
If I am not working in the night shift then I would be watching some television series.
If you are hungry at 3 AM, what would you be eating?
If I am working out them some healthy snack, soya chips or diet Pepsi. Or there is this cake which I order from this particular lady which is very yummy. It’s a whole wheat cake – it’s delicious, healthy and has loads of calories too. You know I love junk food so if I am not working out or not on a diet then I would be eating basically junk food.
Would you watch your film 3 A.M. in an empty theater alone… at 3 AM?
No, I can’t. It’s s**t scary!
You have been calling your friends at 3 AM and scaring them lately. Has anyone managed to scare you?
Not really because I am usually awake at that time so none of my friends have so far succeeded in scaring me like that. But I have managed to scare Emraan Hashmi, John Abraham, Yuvraj, Neha Dhupia, Ayushmann Khurrana and Raghu. It was fun.
You’re going to Bhangarh (most haunted place in India) to promote your film….
Not to promote exactly, we will be in Jaipur on September 26 and that’s when the film is releasing. I want the cast and crew to experience the actual spookiness of a haunted place…that eerie. So what better place than Bhangarh?
You have hosted a spooky show and now a horror film. What is that fascinates you about paranormal activities or haunted places?
Subconsciously, we all think about life after death or what’s going to happen after we die. Will we go to a bad place after we are dead? All this is intriguing and that’s why I hosted Girls’ Night Out. As for the movie, when Vishal was casting he wanted a good actor and he had seen me hosting as well. In the movie, the main character is a host of reality show so Vishal then had only one choice… (Smiles)
