Saif Ali Khan has parted ways with his business partner Dinesh Vijan. Apparently, the two were contemplating to go their separate ways since four years because of creative differences. While talking to a leading daily, the Humshakals actor said, “From now on, Illuminati Films will be only Saif Ali Khan’s company. Dinesh will head his company, Maddock. Our joint ventures will be produced under another banner which has yet to be named.” Kareena Kapoor’s hubby and his partner wanted to end their collaboration after Agent Vinod. But they finally took the plunge a week after Lekar Hum Deewana Dil was released.
So was LHDD’s box office fate the reason behind their split? Well, “Not really, though I was clueless of what was going on. As far as I’m concerned, Go Goa Gone was technically our last film together.” While the actor-producer is upset about partings ways with his business partner-cum-friend, at the same time, he is looking forward to making his kind of films. He further added, “Isn’t it better this way? We don’t have to share the control. Now, I can produce the films I believe in and Dinesh can also go ahead with subjects he feels strongly about. It can get annoying when you have to do things you don’t want to.”
Now that Saif will be heading the production the house, we are curious to see what kind of movies he is going to offer us. Aren’t you?
