After Malayalam superstar Mammootty started the eco-friendly initiative, the other stars in South seem to have taken the cue
In response to the extremely popular ALS ice bucket challenge, the film stars from South Indian industries have found a new way to make earth a better place to live. Couple of weeks ago, Mollywood superstar Mammootty took the My Tree Challenge by planting a sapling, as an eco-friendly effort to make a greener earth. The actor then nominated Shah Rukh Khan, Vijay and Suriya to take up the challenge.
Only days back, Vijay took My Tree Challenge but did not nominate any famous personality. Following his cue, Suriya took up the challenge by planting a sapling, posting pictures of it on the internet. The Anjaan actor has nominated few big names like Aamir Khan, Mahesh Babu and Sudeep to take up the My Tree Challenge.
A source close to the actor, reveals, “He said that planting trees is close to his heart as afforestation is essential for a clean and green world.” With Suriya and Vijay doing their bit to make an eco-friendly earth, we hope stars who have been nominated like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan and Mahesh Babu take up the challenge soon, lending much needed support to the campaign.
While it is believed that Ajay Devgn and Suriya are good friends, it is surprising to us that the Anjaan star did not nominate Singham Returns actor for the challenge.
