Right since his debut film Student Of The Year, this young lad has been appreciated for his dancing skills. However, that isn’t the only reason why Remo D’Souza chose Dhawan for his upcoming film, Any Body Can Dance 2 (ABCD 2). Remo, who had made professional dancers act in ABCD, wanted someone who had that lethal combination of acting and dance for his film’s sequel. And guess what, the choreographer’s hunt had ended when he met Varun for the first time while shooting for Karan Johar’s SOTY. Speaking to a leading daily Remo said, “I was surprised that how comfortable this debutant was in front of the camera. Also, he is a fab dancer.” However, that wasn’t the only decision making point for Remo. After Jr Dhawan’s spectacular performance in Main Tera Hero, the ace choreographer was even more sure about his decision to cast Varun. Well besides Varun’s acting and dance skills, he is also known for his diligence. We are sure the Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania actor will not disappoint his director. Right peeps?

Alia’s mother has chosen Kalki to play the female lead in her suspense-thriller

While Mahesh Bhatt has already made it clear that he would never direct a film for his daughter Alia Bhatt, it seems the Student Of The Year actor’s mother too has chosen to follow Mahesh’s path. Soni Razdan who is all set to make her comeback as a director has recently roped in Kalki Koechlin to play the female lead in her next film.

Largely based on the Nanavati murder case of 1959, Razdan was looking out for an actress who could essay the role of a British woman. If sources are to be believed, then the Nazar director felt that Anurag Kashyap’s ex wifey suited the role.

Though we are sure that Ms Koechlin would have been very happy to bag the meaty role, we wonder how Alia feels about her mother’s preference.
