The CityLights actor has turned down a role in Riteish Deshmukh starrer Bank Chor. Here is why…
Rajkummar Rao was offered a negative role in Riteish Deshmukh‘s upcoming film Bank Chor. But the actor refused it because he didn’t want to venture into the dark territory ‘just yet’. Allegedly, the actor feels that the role offered to him in Bank Chor was out-and-out negative and that he felt it was too early in his career to play that negative a role.
Well, Rao’s loss was Vivek Oberoi’s gain as he was the next in line to be considered for the same role. And now the Krrish 3 baddie has been finalised to play villain a second time in Bank Chor.
The reports about Rajkummar turning down a negative role because he thought it was too early just reminds us of a statement he gave us during an exclusive interview at the time of CityLights. He said, “I have come here to act and do performance driven roles.”
Him turning down the role in Bank Chor could only mean two things; either Rao didn’t find the role challenging enough or that his acting principle has changed a bit ever since he tasted success.
Was it a bad decision to refuse the role in Bank Chor? Only time will tell…
