If we recall Yash Chopra used to give the first clap for all his movies and that became a trademark of his filmmaking. However, when Aditya took over YRF he never used to do the same. He wanted to chart a different path. But, it seems that Maneesh and SRK have persuaded the Jr Chopra to change his ideals. Our khabroos inform us that Aditya was initially not comfortable with taking over his father’s tradition of giving the first clap for a movie, but after Fan he will continue to do so for all his ventures, just like his father used to do.
Keeping in the same spirit Adi has also asked wifey dearest Rani Mukerji to not send home made food to him, as he prefers having lunch with the shooting team unit, just like his father. Talking to a leading daily Rani Mukerji reveals, “So many times I offer to send food from home. But Aditya says ‘No, I’ll eat with my team’ like they did, when Yashji was around. Being Yash Chopra’s son, Adi has always been behind the camera. Films are what keep him going.”
Wethinks such a noble tradition should not be followed just in memory of Yash Chopra, but should be practiced regularly for soaring the spirits of the shooting team members. Hai na peeps?
