Homi Adajania, who has been garnering a lot of attention due to his upcoming film, Finding Fanny, recently filed complaint with the Cyber Crime Investigation Cell. But why? According to a report in a leading daily, the director recently discovered a fake Facebook account by his name where his impostor has been interacting with people and inviting them to audition for his next film.
“This has really angered me. Using someone’s name to dupe people, and calling women for fake auditions, is horrible. It’s because of slimy perverts and things like this that our industry gets a nefarious reputation,” an agitated Adajania was quoted.
Homi has also written to Facebook saying “This could lead to unsuspecting aspiring actors being exploited under the guise of fake auditions. I have made complaints to catch the people behind this.”
Meanwhile, Homi’s Finding Fanny, which stars Deepika Padukone, Arjun Kapoor, Pankaj Kapur, Naseeruddin Shah and Dimple Kapadia will release on September 12.
