More often than once, TRPs are the reason why a show is called off, but here things are a little different
Fanaah – an Impossible Love Story went on air barely two months back, but as per reports the show is already going off air this month. Apparently, unavailability of the stars is the prime reason behind the sudden decision. Initially, Karan Kundra suffered a major injury and broke his ribs during a sequence of the show. Now it seems, Ratan Rajput has been detected with dengue and hence cannot be on call for the scenes. Both the actors have been advised complete bed rest and it is impossible to continue the show without the leads.
Now this is what the official statement claims. In fact, Vikas Gupta, programming head of the channel, confirmed to a popular daily that Fanaah will make an early exit, but they will be back with a season two soon. Vikas also mentioned that when they come back with a season 2, they may not be working with the same actors. Now that makes us wonder if there is more to it that what meets the eye.
Anyway it’s sad to see the show end so abruptly considering it had just started gaining momentum and popularity.
