Once in a while there comes a tune, out of the blue, that draws your attention and makes you want to drown in its melody. Manali Trance from Akshay Kumar’s The Shaukeens is one such song. If you haven’t heard it yet, then do it now, cause this tune will be topping charts in weeks to come.
Here are 5 reasons why BollywoodLife is obsessed with Manali Trance:
- The melody and hook of the song is super catchy. It enters your head like a worm and starts wriggling with this totally trippy dubstep beat. There’s no denial that you won’t go for a repeat once you hear it for the first time.
- Lisa Haydon. Where has she been ? Bollywood can do with some more of this goregous lass. Can’t think of any other actress who could have done justice to this trippy track.
- The way the song is shot is very current. It doesn’t remind you of any other song. Well, Deepika’s Dum Maaro Dum had a different style and technique, Manali Trance is more hardcore and raw.
- Full credit to the makers to go all the way with the song. ‘Grass lage hai mujhe sabka ilaj‘, says Lisa as the tune builds up. Thankfully they haven’t played safe and replaced the word grass with something else giving the song a super edge!
- Yo Yo Honey Singh‘s verse is fresh. There is no papa ko phone karo, bhindi pack karo line. Even his voice and flow is smoother and much better than his raps on some previous tracks.
