The Siddharth Anand directorial has crossed Rs 100 crore club at the Indian box office
Bang Bang starring Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif has finally made it’s entry into the coveted Rs 100 crore club. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film achieved this feat late afternoon today (October 6).
Siddharth Anand says, “I’m delighted. It’s a massive achievement for all of us. It’s amazing that Bang Bang is being loved by people, especially family audiences. It is a complete masala movie and we made it with the intention to entertain everyone. I make movies for people to enjoy, to forget about the stress that life anyway has for all of us. It is a full paisa vasool film and audiences are loving that.”
Bang Bang, which is the official remake of Knight and Day, hit the hit screens on October 2 and got off to a flying start. Within two days, the action flick minted Rs 51.62 crore nett at the Indian box office. Impressive, hai na? On Saturday and Sunday too the film’s collections were over Rs 20 crore nett and that’s the reason Bang Bang’s opening weekend collection stood at Rs 94.13 crore nett till afternoon. However, the film has now entered the Rs 100 crore club and naturally everyone associated with the film would be dancing with joy.
Bang Bang is also in the top 5 opening movies in the history of Bollywood – a feat the film achieved in the first day of its release.
