Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra will be seen sharing screen space in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s next Bajirao Mastani. While the Exotic singer has already started shooting for the period drama, Ms Padukone will start working on the film March onwards. But reports are already doing the rounds about rivalry between these two B-town beauties. Now that’s not surprising because every time two actresses have come together for a film such reports start floating, hai na? However, all is well between Deepika and Priyanka. In fact, the Happy New Year actress is glad that Bhansali roped in PC for his magnum opus which also features Ranveer Singh.
While talking to a leading daily, the dimpled beauty said, “I am looking forward to working with her. I don’t have a say in which actor Sanjay sir is going to cast, but I am glad he’s chosen Priyanka because she is a fantastic actor and my friend. Women don’t have issues with each other all the time. I have heard a lot of stories (about heroines not getting along), but I feel that the perception is changing, and it’s no longer the reality.”
The leggy lass further added, “I have known Priyanka since I was a nobody; she was one of the top actresses at that time. I knew her through common friends when I wasn’t even in the modelling industry. We have gone out together. I have been to her house. Even today, I am very comfortable around her.”
